I am currently working on the Illinois ESSAMA research project in collaboration with the ADAPT lab. This research study examines Latina mothers and adolescents:

In addition to my other lines of research, I co-run a lab with Dr. Charee Thompson:
The R.A.P.P.O.R.T. Lab
Research Advancing Patient-Provider Outcomes, Relationship, and Talk
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to improve patient-provider communication through theory-driven and evidence-based research and training.
Who We Are:
The lab is comprised of communication faculty, graduate students, and faculty fellows. The lab currently houses several projects: trainings for residents at several hospitals; research in clinical settings; and systematic reviews or other agenda-setting essays. Lab members are also encouraged to develop and execute research ideas utilizing the lab’s resources and connections.

I was a 2017-2019 Research Lab Fellow for the Family Communication & Relationships Lab. This lab was founded by Kristina Scharp (Utah State University) and Elizabeth Dorrance Hall (Michigan State University). Read more about the lab here: https://www.familycommlab.com/
I am affiliated with the HCAT lab run by Associate Dean of Research Jake Jensen at the University of Utah. More information on the lab can be found here: http://jakobdjensen.com/
Among other things, this lab is known for its writing retreats, which I have been a part of since the first retreat in 2009. The history of the lab’s writing retreats can be found here: http://jakobdjensen.com/writing-retreats/
Texas Writing Retreat (Spring 2014)
Along with writing, the writing retreats often include informal workshops by one of the professors. Below is an example of when I taught a regression workshop at the Fall 2017 Writing Retreat:
We also share useful tips and tricks. Here, I am showing how to quickly format APA tables in Excel (Fall 2016 Writing Retreat).
